The bread & pastry shops “Spitiko” were found in 1983.
Are been involved in producing and marketing bread, confectionery and pastry products. They also have a special department for catering any kind of social or business gatherings and parties.
The bread & pastry shops “Spitiko” are famed for their innovating ideas in new and old tastes, their quality products, like the sweets and pastries, the syrup dipped goodies, the great variety of ice-creams, the bread and the bread products (such are the barley (block) rusk, the Chania bytes (bookies) and the famous small toasted bread roll called “kavroumas”.
The bread & pastry shops “Spitiko” they maintaining the following installations:
The basic production plant along with the main offices of the business are located since 1996 in the industrial park of Chania, at Souda – total floor area 1500 square meters.
The first shop is been at the corner of Manousaka and Mihelogiannis streets at Lentariana.
The second shop is at 7 Plastira (1987) across from the Municipal market of Chania.
In 1990 “Spitiko” found the third shop at Freedom Square (dikastiria – courthouse).
Since August 1998 the fourth shop is in business at the corner of Anapafseos and Gogoni streets as a full fledged Bread and Pastry shop.
The production of bread and bread products starts also in 1998.
The fifth bread & pastry shop “Spitiko” opens on 92 Chalidon street in June 2000.
The year 2003 2 bread & pastry shops “Spitiko” start. One in the corner of Papanastasiou and Mountaki street and the other one on 172 Kissamou ave.
The bread & pastry shops “Spitiko” focus constantly their efforts to improve the quality of their products and the increase of their varieties.
Achieving the ISO 9001 certificate on April 2002 added one more important step toward their course.
Now their efforts are concentrated to add a HACCP system to their production line.
